The Schedule: (this is subject to change)
Friday Sept. 25th - You will arrive at the beach house at 12:00 noon. Lunch will be served and introductions will be made. We will show you around the house and you will have some time to settle in and explore. We will show you all the wonderful swag that was donated by our sponsors. What a treat!! In the afternoon, you will attend a workshop taught by a guest teacher (workshop TBA). After the workshop, we will serve you a delicious dinner along with margaritas while you kick back and relax. After dinner there will be two crafts which you can partake in as you wish. Then the rest of the night will be for having fun! There might be a bon fire, there may be s’mores, and there could even be some dancing!
Saturday Sept. 26th - This day is for shopping and exploring. First we will be going to an outdoor flea market located in a drive-in movie theater where you can leisurely hunt for treasures and enjoy all the rusty goodness. Then we might hit a few beachy antique shops and possibly a local outdoor farmers market, depending on time. We will enjoy lunch at a local lobster/clam shack for some good ol’ New England seafood. When we return from our outing, you will have some time to walk down to the beach, take a walk, or just hang out while we set up all the projects for night. We will then welcome you to eat dinner with us outside under the lights while listening to the waves crash on the beach. We will serve you a selection of wines along with a yummy dessert. After dinner, we will introduce the remaining 4 projects and you will visit each station to complete the crafts, breaking only to eat more chocolate and bust out a dance move if the music inspires you.
Sunday Sept. 27th - During your final morning with us, you will enjoy a wonderful breakfast, maybe a last walk on the beach, and finish up any projects from the night before you maybe didn’t quite finish. We will then take pictures all each guest, all the completed craft projects, as well as a few group photos. Everyone must be out of the beach house by 11:00 am.

Your hosts:
A little bit about us. Awbree and Kim are the creators of Make It and you are in for an awesome weekend with these two. Awbree and Kim met in 2012 when their children were in the same preschool class. They then worked together in MOPS, Mother's of Preschoolers, which is a mission based outreach for mothers of young children. They bonded over their shared love for all things vintage, chippy, and creative. It was an instant friendship!

Awbree Caton, creator of Bunkhouse Creative and blogger at www.bunkhousecreative.com, will be teaching 3 craft projects over the course of the weekend. Awbree teaches process art classes and summer art camp to young children where she encourages kids to get messy and explore the joys of being creative. Awbree was the Craft Coordinator of her local MOPS group where she enjoyed leading other moms in various projects each month. She also previously held monthly Craft Nights at her home in Annapolis, MD before moving to Massachusetts. Now she holds a monthly Project Life night in her home studio, helping others to document their memories. You are in for a treat working with Awbree. She always has something up her sleeve and you are sure to learn some of her tricks! You won't know what the Make It projects will be until you arrive, so it will be a surprise. Don't worry if you have never made a thing in your life, we will teach you!

Kim Bower, blogger at www.thefarmhousedaily.blogspot.com, is an occasional blogger. She began the journey when her family moved into a farm house on a horse farm outside of Annapolis, Maryland. Kim will be teaching 3 craft projects over the course of the weekend. When she is not sewing curtains from vintage hankies or gluing fabric to her walls, she works for her father’s business and stays busy as a freelance designer. Kim has also recently turned her passion for photography into a thriving side business. Taking full advantage of the breathtaking scenery of her property, Kim has been holding family sessions on the farm. Kim also dabbles in creative event planning and loves to throw a good party, hand making all the little details. She also enjoys hosting craft nights and workshops in her home. Kim is a wonderful hostess and superb maker of all things yummy.

WE HOPE YOU CAN JOIN US!!!

  1. Hi! Just wanted to double check. Is it $550/person? So the friend would be $550 as well? Thanks!
